Smart Bar & Ask Peak

How do I open the Smart Bar?

With ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), anywhere in Peak, or with a click in the search bar at the top right. Arrow keys select, Enter opens, Esc closes. ⌘↵ sends your text to Ask Peak.

Can I create something directly with ⌘K?

Yes. Write in one sentence what you want to create. Peak shows what it understands and creates it when you press Enter. You can then take it back with “Undo”.

Can I complete or assign tasks via ⌘K?

Yes. “complete proposal Everglobe” checks off the task, and “focus proposal Everglobe” brings it into focus. “assign proposal to Lena” assigns it; because that affects someone else, Peak asks first.

Can I do calculations in ⌘K?

Yes. Type a calculation like “19% of 299” or “119 incl. 19%”. The result appears right away, and Enter copies it. “Open in Peak Calculate” continues the calculation there.

How do I open Ask Peak in the side panel, and what is it allowed to do?

With the spark at the top or ⌘J (Windows: Ctrl+J). The panel opens next to the page, which stays usable. Peak answers questions about your data from your apps, with your rights. Other questions are answered by AI from your question and the open page, not from your stored data. Peak changes nothing on its own: it creates something new only after you confirm “Create”, and it never changes anything existing.

2. 02Type “Task follow up on offer tomorrow”. Peak asks “Should Peak create this?”, and only “Create” creates the task. “Undo” works afterwards.

Which questions does Ask Peak answer today?

Ask Peak reads your data and answers with its source under “Based on”. It answers questions about tasks, projects, blockers, inventory, shipping and returns, changes and your inbox, for example “What's due today?”, “What's overdue?”, “What's blocked?” or “What changed this week?”. It doesn't change anything.

What shortcuts and keys are there in ⌘K?

@ searches people, # projects, / shows commands, ? asks Ask Peak. Arrow keys select, Enter opens or runs, Tab shows a result's actions, and Backspace in an empty field or Esc goes back. The shortcuts are optional; plain language always works.

Why can't I find something from my company in ⌘K?

Search runs in the workspace you're currently in. If there are more results elsewhere, Peak shows “… more results outside of …”. With “Search all organizations” you search everywhere you have access. Peak never finds more than you're allowed to open.

The Smart Bar shows entries like “Cashflow plan Q4” that I didn't create.

Pages and objects in the Smart Bar are still sample entries in this preview. They aren't part of your data. Real results from your workspace come with Ask Peak's search.

Why doesn't Ask Peak answer my question?

Ask Peak answers from your data on tasks, blockers, stock, shipping, changes and your Inbox. Other questions are answered in free language by the Ask Peak side panel, with the page you currently have open as context. It only reads what you're allowed to see and changes nothing. You'll find search and actions such as creating or completing items with ⌘K.

Ask Peak says “Peak doesn't have an answer to that from your data yet.”

Your question doesn't belong to any topic Ask Peak can answer from your data today. Ask about tasks, projects, blockers, inventory, shipping, changes or your inbox. Free-form questions to a language model are coming in a later version.

Ask Peak says “Peak couldn't read your data just now.”

The query didn't work. Nothing was changed. Try again in a moment. If it says “This area isn't enabled for you.”, your access profile specifies that Peak doesn't read this area for you.

⌘K shows “Nothing found for …”.

There's nothing under this word in your workspace that you're allowed to open. Search starts at two characters.

The side panel says “Peak can't answer this from your data …”

Peak has no answer from your data for this question, and the AI answer wasn't reachable just now. Nothing was changed. Ask about today, overdue or blocked work, stock or changes, or try again later.
