How do I see where my company stands in comparison?

Describe your company in up to five details, enter one month's metrics and, if you have them, import percentiles of a peer group. Peak then shows the percentile for each metric, the gap to the median and the biggest opportunity in euros. Without a peer group, Peak compares with your own history.

    1. Open Peak Benchmarks and choose your industry.
    2. Add business model, region, revenue and basket size.
    3. Enter your metrics or upload a CSV.
    4. Import a reference distribution or continue without one.
    5. Open the biggest opportunity and create a goal or a task.

  • How reliable is a benchmark comparison in Peak?Answer

How reliable is a benchmark comparison in Peak?

Every comparison has a confidence from 0 to 100 made up of six parts: similarity of the peer group to your profile (25), sample size (20), recency (20), same definition (15), stability of the distribution (10) and quality of the source (10). Groups with fewer companies than your minimum size (20 by default) don't count at all. You see the parts in every metric under “Methodology”.

Where do the comparison values in Peak Benchmarks come from?

From you. Peak doesn't have its own comparison network yet and doesn't invent numbers. You import aggregated percentiles (P25, median, P75, optionally P10 and P90) with the number of companies, source and period, for example from an industry study. Peak doesn't accept individual company data. The demo shows made-up distributions and says so.

  • Why doesn't Peak Benchmarks accept my reference CSV?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't Peak Benchmarks accept my reference CSV?

Peak needs the columns metric, P25, P50 (or median) and P75, plus a source. Metrics can be given as a name or abbreviation (conversion, AOV, return rate). Percentages work as 2.3 % or 0.023. Download the template under “Data”, then the names will match.

  • Why are margin or POAS missing although my shop is connected in Peak Profit?Troubleshooting

Why are margin or POAS missing although my shop is connected in Peak Profit?

Peak Benchmarks only takes full months from Peak Profit; the current month counts once it's over. Peak only calculates gross margin, contribution margin and POAS when purchase prices cover at least 80 % of a month's revenue; otherwise the margin would look better than it is. MER and POAS also need ad spend in that month.

    1. Add the purchase prices of your best-selling products in Peak Profit.
    2. If ad spend is missing, add it in Peak Profit under Marketing.
    3. Reload Peak Benchmarks. Values from Peak Profit are fetched fresh on every load and are read-only.
