Profit, cash and plan at a glance: what changed, how much cash remains over the next 13 weeks and which decision matters now.

What does Peak Finance need to calculate?

Peak Finance reads what's already there: orders and costs from Peak Profit, bank statements, Shopify payouts and planned payments from Peak Cashflow. The cash forecast needs an account balance with a date in Peak Cashflow; then upload your bank statements as CSV. Set your minimum cash in Settings, and Today will tell you when you'd fall below it.

    1. Connect Shopify in Peak Profit and enter your cost of goods.
    2. In Peak Cashflow, upload your account balance and bank statements as CSV.
    3. In Peak Finance, set the minimum cash under Settings.
    4. Open Today.

  • How do I set the minimum amount of cash that should remain?How-to

How do I set the minimum amount of cash that should remain?

In the Peak Finance settings, you set a “Cash floor”. If the 13-week forecast drops below it, Finance flags it in “Today”. As long as you don't enter anything there, your minimum from Peak Cashflow applies. Peak doesn't suggest an amount.

    1. Open Peak Finance → ⋯ → “Settings”.
    2. Enter the amount under “Cash floor”. Leave it empty if you don't want a floor.
    3. Click “Save”.

  • How do I play through what happens to my cash with lower revenue?How-to

How do I play through what happens to my cash with lower revenue?

Under “Plan” → “Scenarios”, you describe assumptions in your own words or choose a template, for example “Revenue −15% for 3 months” or “Purchases 4 weeks later”. Peak shows the lowest point, cash after 13 weeks, contribution margin and whether your floor holds, each against the baseline.

    1. Open “Plan” → “Scenarios”.
    2. Write the assumption in the field, such as “revenue 10% lower for 3 months”, and click “Apply assumptions”.
    3. Under “✓ Understood”, check what Peak recognized and correct the fields under “Assumptions”.
    4. Read the result under “Result against baseline”.

Frequently asked

  • How is the 13-week cash forecast built?Answer

How is the 13-week cash forecast built?

The forecast starts at the last confirmed account balance and adds the account transactions since then. Next come planned payments and payroll from Peak Cashflow, announced Shopify payouts, purchases from the inventory list and, where nothing is planned, expected income and ad spend based on the run rate of the last 28 days. Each week shows what it's made of and how certain it is.

  • Why does the cash forecast show purchases I haven't ordered yet?Answer

Why does the cash forecast show purchases I haven't ordered yet?

Finance schedules reorders from your inventory list in Peak Cashflow: a deposit on order, the rest on delivery. As long as nobody has ordered, they're shown as “Suggested”; approved purchases count as committed. The “Approved purchases only” scenario shows the forecast without the suggestions.

  • Why doesn't a Shopify payout count as cash yet?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't a Shopify payout count as cash yet?

A payout only counts as cash once it's on the bank statement. Peak Finance looks for a credit of the same amount up to seven days later. Until then it shows as “paid, not yet seen”. Upload the latest bank statement in Peak Cashflow and it will be matched.

  • “Nothing recognized. Use the fields below.” Why doesn't Peak understand my scenario?Error message

“Nothing recognized. Use the fields below.” Why doesn't Peak understand my scenario?

The text field recognizes fixed patterns such as percentages for revenue, prices or cost of goods, and weeks and amounts for purchases. What Peak can't map appears under “Not applied”. Enter those assumptions directly in the fields under “Assumptions”, such as “Volume”, “Prices” or “Additional purchases”.

  • Why doesn't “Today” show a change?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't “Today” show a change?

“Today” only shows changes above your materiality threshold. If the field is empty, it's 5% of the comparison value, at least €1,000. You see smaller movements in “Profit” and “Cash”.

    1. Open ⋯ → “Settings”.
    2. Enter a smaller amount under “Material from”.
    3. Click “Save” and open “Today” again.

  • Why does Peak Finance mark my bank data as stale?Troubleshooting

Why does Peak Finance mark my bank data as stale?

Finance checks how old your latest bank statement in Peak Cashflow is. If it's older than the days set under “Bank statement counts as stale after”, the cash balance is marked as uncertain. Upload a new statement as CSV in Peak Cashflow or adjust the days in Settings.

  • Why doesn't Peak Finance tell me whether my MER is good enough?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't Peak Finance tell me whether my MER is good enough?

The verdict comes from Peak Break-even ROAS. If the model there isn't filled in yet, it says “Not known yet”. If the guardrail there is calculated on gross revenue but the MER in Finance is net, Finance deliberately gives no verdict until both use the same basis.

    1. Click “Fill in Break-even ROAS” and create your model.
    2. There, under “Targets & definition”, set the revenue basis to “Net (excluding VAT)”.
    3. Open “Profit” → “Channels” again.

  • “Peak Finance couldn't load just now.” Is my data gone?Error message

“Peak Finance couldn't load just now.” Is my data gone?

No. Your data is safe and unchanged; Finance only reads it from Peak Profit and Peak Cashflow. Reload the page. If it happens again, write to support@peak-atlas.com.
