  • How do I find out where my business is losing money?How-to

How do I find out where my business is losing money?

Choose your business model, remove what doesn't apply to you and enter the last three months. The first scan then shows the leaks it found with their amount per month. E-commerce values come from Peak Profit; everything else you type in or import as a CSV.

    1. Open Peak Leakage and choose “Start first scan”.
    2. Choose e-commerce, SaaS & subscription or agency, or several.
    3. Enter the last three months or upload a CSV.
    4. Start the scan and open the largest leak.

  • How do I check whether an action brought money back?How-to

How do I check whether an action brought money back?

When you start working on a leak, Peak saves the amount as “before”. After the action you open the leak, see the current amount as “after” and confirm what came back. Only then does it count as recovered. If the leak opens up again later, Peak shows it as “Back again”.

  • How do I work on a leak and assign it to someone?How-to

How do I work on a leak and assign it to someone?

Open the leak. Under “Workflow”, set the status, such as “Confirmed”, “Action planned” or “Being monitored”. You also choose who's responsible and a due date, and create actions as tasks in Peak Work. Every change is saved with time and person and appears in Peak Log.

    1. Open a leak from the overview.
    2. Click “Confirm” or set the appropriate status under “Workflow”.
    3. Under “Owner”, choose a person and set “Due on”.
    4. Under “Action in Peak Work”, enter a title and click “Create task”.

  • How do I mark a finding that isn't a real leak?How-to

How do I mark a finding that isn't a real leak?

In the leak, choose a reason under “Not a leak, or not now?”: Expected, Seasonal, One-off, Wrong data, Deliberately accepted or Not relevant. With “Mark as explained”, it disappears from the list. If you want to look at it later, choose “Snooze 30 days”.

    1. Open the leak.
    2. Under “Not a leak, or not now?”, choose a reason and click “Mark as explained”.
    3. Or choose “Snooze 30 days” or “Not recoverable”.
    4. Under “Monitor” → “Explained and snoozed”, bring it back with “Reopen”.

  • How do I change when Peak Leakage reports something as a leak?How-to

How do I change when Peak Leakage reports something as a leak?

Under “Monitor” → “Rules”, you set a minimum amount per month, the deviation from normal at which a value stands out, the cost of capital and the minimum product margin. Below that are the threshold and recoverable share per metric. Changes take effect on all findings immediately.

    1. Open “Monitor” and scroll to “What Peak looks for.”
    2. Adjust “Minimum amount per month” and “Deviation from normal”.
    3. If needed, change the threshold and recoverable share per metric. An empty threshold means: compare only with its own normal.

  • How do I turn off a metric or add another business model?How-to

How do I turn off a metric or add another business model?

Under “Data”, at “Business model”, you set what Peak checks: e-commerce, SaaS & subscription or agency & B2B service, or several. For each model, you remove metrics that don't apply to you. Peak doesn't check metrics that are turned off; their values stay saved.

  • How does Peak Leakage calculate the amount of a leak?Answer

How does Peak Leakage calculate the amount of a leak?

Peak compares the month's value with your threshold, the average of your previous months or, for an ongoing trend, the value from three months ago, and uses the comparison with the largest deviation. Costs are compared as a share of revenue. The deviation times revenue gives the amount per month; part of that counts as avoidable and part as realistically recoverable. Both shares are assumptions you change under “Monitor”. Tied-up cash (inventory, receivables, unbilled work) is shown separately and only counts toward profit with its cost of capital.

Yes, as a PDF via the browser: in the menu at the top of Peak Leakage, choose “Print / save as PDF”. A spreadsheet export or a share link hasn't been built.

  • Why doesn't Peak Leakage accept my CSV?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't Peak Leakage accept my CSV?

Peak needs a column with the month and one column per metric, or the three columns month, metric and value. Months can be 2026-08, 08/2026 or Aug 2026. Columns whose names Peak can't map to a metric are listed and skipped. Download the template under “Data” and the names will match.

  • Why can't I change e-commerce values in Peak Leakage?Troubleshooting

Why can't I change e-commerce values in Peak Leakage?

If your store is connected in Peak Profit, Peak Leakage calculates revenue, discounts, refunds, cost of goods, shipping, fees and ad spend directly from the orders. Those fields are then read-only and marked “Peak Profit”. You correct the values at the source, in Peak Profit.

  • Why doesn't Peak Leakage find any leaks for me?Troubleshooting

Why doesn't Peak Leakage find any leaks for me?

That may be good news. But it's often due to the data: with one month, Peak only compares against your thresholds; it recognizes deviations from normal and trends only from three months on. Findings below the minimum amount stay hidden, and Peak doesn't check metrics that are turned off.

    1. Enter at least three months under “Data”.
    2. Under “Data”, check whether the right metrics are turned on.
    3. Under “Monitor”, lower the “Minimum amount per month”.
