How do I enter a legal matter with a deadline in Peak Legal?

A legal matter only needs a name and, if there is one, the next deadline with what's due by then. You add the opposing party, law firm, amount in dispute and file number when you have them. The overview shows every deadline from 14 days before, critical from three days.

2. 02Create the next step as a task in Peak Work.
3. 03Record a decision on the matter as a resolution in Peak Log.

How do I record managing directors, Prokura and powers of attorney?

Under “Company” → “Record body or power of attorney”. The options are managing director, executive board, supervisory board, advisory board, Prokura, general power of attorney, commercial power of attorney and single power of attorney, each with start, end, limits and whether the person represents alone or jointly. Peak shows a notice 30 days before the end and flags Prokura and managing directors not entered in the register. Only owners and admins can record them.

2. 02Choose “+ Record body or power of attorney”.
3. 03Choose the person, the kind, the start and, when known, end and limits.
4. 04Ended mandates then appear under “Ended”.

How do I share the cap table with an investor?

Under “Company” you enter the shareholders with shares, options and investment. “Share” releases exactly this snapshot as a link: cap table, officers, resolution titles and the number of open legal matters, never their details. Only owners or admins release the link; by default it expires after 30 days, and you can update it to the current state later.

Where are contracts and NDAs in Peak Legal?

Contracts and NDAs stay in Peak Sign. Peak Legal only reads them and shows under “Legal matters · Contracts & NDAs” when notice has to be given. A legal matter can point to a contract from Peak Sign. Editing, sending and signing only happen in Peak Sign.
