How do I create a bill of materials in Peak Production?

A bill of materials says what a product from Peak Products is made of. You choose the finished product, enter the parts with their quantity and save. Peak immediately shows how many units you can build with your stock and what the material costs. Every change becomes a new version; older ones stay visible.

    1. Open Peak Production and choose “Manufacturing”, then “Bills of materials”.
    2. Choose the finished product and the components from Peak Products.
    3. Enter the quantity per unit and save.

Does Peak Production post stock when a work order is done?

No. Peak shows the material requirement and what's missing, but posts neither materials nor finished goods. You change stock where it's kept: in Shopify, Peak Inventory or Peak Products. If material is missing, Peak takes you to a new purchase order in Peak Supply.

  • How do inspections and maintenance work in Peak Production?Answer

How do inspections and maintenance work in Peak Production?

An inspection plan belongs to the product and can apply to every goods receipt from Peak Supply. An inspection records what was found; that stays as it is, only the decision (accept, rework, return, scrap, block) is added later. Equipment has tasks with an interval: due means the last completion plus the interval.

  • Why can't I release a work order?Troubleshooting

    Why can't I release a work order?

Usually the bill of materials is missing: a work order can only be released once the product has a bill of materials. On release, Peak freezes the current version of the bill of materials in the order; later changes only apply to new orders. Progress (“Produced”, “Scrap”) can only be recorded on released orders.

    1. Under Production → Bills of materials, create the bill of materials for the product.
    2. Open the order and click “Release”.
    3. Then record “Produced” and “Scrap” with “Save progress” or “Report finished”.
    4. A draft can be deleted; a released order can only be cancelled.
