  • How do I quickly create a task in Peak Task?How-to

How do I quickly create a task in Peak Task?

Press Q (or N) and just type. Peak shows what it understood as chips: day, time, duration, due date, priority, project, labels, person, repetition. Clicking a chip keeps the word in the title. Enter saves.

    1. “Call Max tomorrow 2pm p1” → tomorrow at 2 pm, priority 1.
    2. “Offer by Fri #Sales” → due Friday, in the Sales project.
    3. “Stocktake every Monday 9am @admin” → recurring, with a label.
    4. “waiting for Alexander: supplier prices” → waiting, follow up in three days.

  • How do recurring tasks work?How-to

    How do recurring tasks work?

Write the repetition with the task or enter it in the details: daily, weekdays, every Mon and Thu, every 2 weeks, every 3rd Tuesday, every month on the 15th, last business day of the month. When you complete it, Peak creates the next task on the next date. “after completion” counts from the day you finished.

    1. Open the task.
    2. Under “Repeat”, enter for example “every 14 days after completion”.
    3. When you check it off, “Next time on …” appears, with Undo.

With “Start stack” under “Today”. Peak shows just one task, Focus 3 first, and everything else is hidden. You choose 25 minutes or the stopwatch, then “Done · next” or “Skip”. “End” or Esc takes you back to the list.

    1. Open Peak Task → Today.
    2. Click “Start stack”.
    3. To start a single task, press F or use “Start focus” in its menu.

  • What's the difference between “scheduled” and “due date”?Answer

What's the difference between “scheduled” and “due date”?

Scheduled is the day you do something. The due date is the day it must be finished at the latest. The two are separate: moving, Later or “Move everything to tomorrow” never change the due date. In quick entry, “by …”, “due …” or “before …” sets the due date.

Are the tasks in Peak Task the same as in Board and Day?

Yes. Peak Task has no task list of its own. It shows the same tasks as Board, Day and Work. Anything you capture here without a project lives on the “My Day” board. If you check something off, it's done everywhere.

Where do the Focus 3 suggestions come from?

From fixed rules, not AI: due today or soon, priority P1 and P2, scheduled for today, already postponed several times, open for a long time. “Why?” shows the reasons. Only what you select yourself is taken over, and it's three at most.
