Plan tomorrow's organization: which positions you need when, what they cost and how scenarios differ, measured against today.

How do I create my first workforce plan?

Enter name, start, end and currency and click “Create plan from today's state”. Peak takes today's employments and positions as a fixed baseline. Then you plan positions on top or remove them, and see headcount, FTE and costs at the reference date. The plan doesn't change any employments.

    1. Open Workforce Planning in the company.
    2. Enter name, start, end and currency.
    3. Click “Create plan from today's state”.
    4. Under “Positions”, add positions with “Plan position” or an existing position.

  • How do I approve a plan or a position request?How-to

How do I approve a plan or a position request?

A plan goes Draft → In review → Approved → Locked. You can only edit drafts. A second authorized person must approve, not whoever submitted the plan. To change an approved plan, you create a new version. Position requests work the same way: submit, and another person approves or rejects.

    1. In the plan: “Submit for review”.
    2. A second authorized person clicks “Approve plan”, then optionally “Lock plan”.
    3. For later changes: “New version”.
    4. Request: “Request position” → “Save request as draft” → “Submit”. Reviewers click “Approve” or “Reject”, and you can “Withdraw”.

  • How do I share a workforce plan with investors or the advisory board?How-to

How do I share a workforce plan with investors or the advisory board?

With “Share” on the plan. Peak releases a fixed snapshot of the plan with its own link. Recipients don't need an account; they can comment, approve or ask for changes. The snapshot is aggregated, without names and without individual salaries. Costs are only included if you're allowed to see costs yourself. Archived plans can't be shared.

  • How do I compare scenarios, and why don't I see costs?Answer

How do I compare scenarios, and why don't I see costs?

Under “Scenarios”, “Create scenario” makes a variant of the plan, such as growth or a hiring freeze for non-critical vacancies. Peak shows headcount, FTE and costs per variant and which ones are over budget. Variants in another currency aren't part of the comparison. Only people with company-wide HR rights and export permission see costs. Without them the app shows “Cost view requires approval.”. Peak never reads individual salaries; it calculates with your salary ranges.

  • Why can't I save or import in the plan?Error message

Why can't I save or import in the plan?

The database reports in English here. “Plan changed; reload before saving”: someone saved at the same time, so reload. “Duplicate position in plan”: the position is already in the plan. “Date outside planning period”: the date lies outside the plan's start and end. On import, “Column position_id is missing. Use the export template.” means the column from the export is missing. Export the plan as CSV or XLSX first and import the same file back after editing.
