Error messagePeople Core

People Core reports a duplicate or “Record changed”. What does that mean?

Peak prevents duplicate people. If someone with the same email, employee number or external ID already exists, nothing is saved. For a similar name or the same phone number, Peak only warns: check the existing person and give a reason for the exception if they really are two people. If they are the same, merge them with “Review merge”. “Record changed” means someone has changed the record in the meantime. Reload and save again.

Explains this message

  • Likely duplicate name or phone. Review the existing person before creating an override.
  • Existing canonical person found: attach their Person ID
  • Employee ID already exists
  • Duplicate person
  • Record changed. Reload before saving.
  • Duplicate record or effective date already taken. Nothing was changed.
