How do I add people in People Core?

People Core works in a company's workspace. When you first open it, you add the first person with a name and optionally a work email, then more with “Add person”. You fill in employment, team, manager and start date on the profile. If the person already exists in Peak One, People Core uses the same identity. Owners, admins and the HR people listed in the People configuration can add people.

    1. Open People Core in your company's workspace.
    2. Enter the name and optionally the work email, then click “Create person”.
    3. Open the profile and under “Employment” add the employment with start date, role, team and manager.
    4. Check the preview and click “Save changes for good”. Every change is logged.

  • How do I import my team from a CSV or Excel file?How-to

How do I import my team from a CSV or Excel file?

With “Import CSV / XLSX”. You map each column to a field, choose whether Peak only creates, only updates or both, and check the preview. Only “Save changes for good” writes the data. If there is an error, no row is taken over. Peak recognizes existing people only by person ID or an already verified work email, never by name alone.

    1. Open People Core → “⋯ More filters, views, import & export” → “Import CSV / XLSX”.
    2. Choose the file: at most 200 rows and 2 MB. For Excel, Peak reads only the first worksheet and only fixed values.
    3. Map the columns. Set columns you don't need to “Ignore”.
    4. Choose the import mode and click “Check all rows”.
    5. Check the preview and click “Save changes for good”.

  • What does the “Data Quality” tab in People Core show?Answer

What does the “Data Quality” tab in People Core show?

“Data Quality” answers whether your personnel data is complete. It lists missing required fields, missing assignments such as team or manager, unverified or outdated details, possible duplicates and sync conflicts, the most important case first. With “Request confirmation” you ask a person through the inbox to confirm their data. HR sets which fields are required in the People configuration.

  • People Core reports a duplicate or “Record changed”. What does that mean?Error message

People Core reports a duplicate or “Record changed”. What does that mean?

Peak prevents duplicate people. If someone with the same email, employee number or external ID already exists, nothing is saved. For a similar name or the same phone number, Peak only warns: check the existing person and give a reason for the exception if they really are two people. If they are the same, merge them with “Review merge”. “Record changed” means someone has changed the record in the meantime. Reload and save again.
