How do I hand a device to a person in Peak Assets?

Open the device in the register and enter the person under “Hand out”, with the date and, if you like, the condition. A device can only ever be with one person. When someone leaves, you take it back under “Take back”; “People” shows what someone still has.

How does Peak Assets work out when maintenance is due?

Every device can have a plan with entries like “DGUV inspection every 365 days”. Peak takes the last recorded maintenance of that kind and adds the interval; without recorded maintenance it's due from the day the device was added. Peak doesn't know statutory intervals; you set the interval. Machines from Peak Production have the same plan.

What are the asset tag and warranty for in Peak Assets?

The asset tag is the label on the device; Peak allows each number only once in your company, so you find a device unambiguously when scanning or searching. If you enter the warranty end date, the overview shows in good time which warranty ends soon. You maintain the book value in Peak Finance; Peak Assets only displays it.

Why can't I hand out or retire a device?

A device can only be with one person at a time. If it's still handed out, take it back first; only then can you hand it out again or retire it. A retired device can't be handed out until you bring it back with “Back in service”. Devices are only handed out to people of this company.
