Peak Habit

A few habits that matter: minimum, standard and stretch, one tap to check off, a way back in instead of guilt, and honest consistency.

  • How do I create a habit in Peak Habit?How-to

How do I create a habit in Peak Habit?

Via “+ Habit”. Write it in one sentence; Peak shows what it understood as chips, you check them and start. Or go through the four steps: what, why, what counts, when.

    1. “Read 20 pages before bed 5× a week” → amount, frequency, trigger.
    2. “Check cash weekdays at 9” → weekdays and time.
    3. Before you start, Peak checks whether the goal, frequency or number of focus habits is realistic. You decide.

  • How do I build a routine from several habits?How-to

How do I build a routine from several habits?

A routine is a fixed sequence: each habit is the trigger for the next one. You choose them via Plan → “Build routine” from your existing habits and give it a name. In Today, you start it with “Start routine”.

    1. First create the individual habits.
    2. Plan → “Build routine”.
    3. Choose habits in order, give it a name, click “Create routine”.

  • How does the weekly review work?How-to

How does the weekly review work?

From Friday, or if the last review was a while ago, Today shows “Weekly review · 3 minutes”. You answer what went well, what got stuck and what matters next week. Peak suggests adjustments; nothing changes without your check mark. “Apply plan” saves.

  • What do minimum, standard and stretch mean?Answer

What do minimum, standard and stretch mean?

The minimum is the smallest meaningful version (2 pages instead of 20). It counts as done and keeps your streak going on busy days. Standard is normal success, stretch is the extra mile. Peak measures the amount separately, so the minimum doesn't paint too rosy a picture.

  • How is consistency calculated, and why isn't the streak the main number?Answer

How is consistency calculated, and why isn't the streak the main number?

Consistency = completed planned opportunities divided by planned opportunities, weighted 60% on the last 30 days and 40% on the last 90 days. Deliberate skips, pauses and vacation days don't count as missed; quotas such as “3× a week” count per week. There is a streak too, with an optional flex day per week, but it breaks on one busy day, which is why it isn't the focus.

  • What happens if I miss a habit several times?Answer

What happens if I miss a habit several times?

After two missed opportunities in a row, Today shows a way-back-in card: do the minimum now, plan it less often, lower the goal, move the time window, pause for a week or use travel mode. Nothing changes without your tap, and “Keep plan” hides the card for today.

  • Who can see my habits?Answer

    Who can see my habits?

Only you. Habits and entries are private, even in a company workspace. Team routines with shared status come later, and only with explicit permission.

Can I check off habits on the Work page?

Yes. The Work page shows focus habits due today in the “Routines & habits” block. One tap checks it off; it's the same entry as in Peak Habit.

What are the Peak protocols in the library?

Proven rhythms as a starting point. You adopt a protocol fully or partly. This creates normal habits that belong to you and that you can change freely. “My routines” contains your own routines.

  • What is an experiment in Peak Habit?Answer

What is an experiment in Peak Habit?

A habit on trial with a hypothesis, such as “Pipeline review before noon increases the number of follow-ups”. When the experiment is over, you choose “Keep”, “Adjust”, “End” or “Make it a fixed rule”. If a habit stays above 90% for eight weeks, Peak suggests “Mark as established”.

  • Why doesn't “Insights” show anything yet?Answer

Why doesn't “Insights” show anything yet?

Insights need a few days of entries. As soon as you check off habits, Peak shows what's consistent, what's slipping, which days are weak and where things get stuck. It's all rule-based from your entries, not a prediction.
