1How do I research leads with Peak Leads?How-to
Page to shareHow do I research leads with Peak Leads?
Type into the search field whom you're looking for: industry and place (“logistics Hamburg”), a company name, a domain, an LEI or an HRB number. Peak queries GLEIF, Wikidata and the company's legal notice live and shows the results with their sources. In the profile, every detail has its source and retrieval date. “Save as lead” creates the company and the chosen contacts in your CRM; if it's already there, Peak only fills empty fields.
- Open Peak Leads and enter whom you're looking for.
- Open a result and check the details and sources.
- Choose the contacts and click “Save as lead”.

2Where does the data in Peak Leads come from, and is it GDPR compliant?Answer
Page to shareWhere does the data in Peak Leads come from, and is it GDPR compliant?
Only from public sources: the LEI register GLEIF and Wikidata (both open data under CC0) and the company's legal notice (Impressum), which it must publish under § 5 DDG. Peak only reads pages that robots.txt allows, no social networks and nothing behind a login. Nothing is stored until you take over a lead, and then with source, link and retrieval date for each detail. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in initiating B2B business (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Under Peak Leads → Saved, click “Delete”. If nobody has worked with the lead yet, Peak deletes it with all researched details and the contacts that came with it. If there are already activities, deals or tasks, it leaves Leads and the CRM, the researched details are removed, and only the work history remains.

1Peak Leads finds nothing or too little. What can I do?Troubleshooting
Page to sharePeak Leads finds nothing or too little. What can I do?
Peak queries GLEIF, Wikidata and company imprints live. Companies without an LEI and without a Wikidata entry can only be found via their website. If a source doesn't answer or a website doesn't allow reading (robots.txt), Peak says so above the list; the result may then be incomplete. “Understood as” shows how Peak read your search.
- Search the company name without its legal form, so “Hafenkontor Logistik” instead of “Hafenkontor Logistik GmbH”.
- Enter the company's domain, and Peak reads its imprint.
- For an industry, write industry and city, for example “logistics Hamburg”.
- If Peak reports a source as unreachable, try again later.
