How do I record an item along with its receipt?

With “+ Record item”: a name and purchase date are enough. As warranty Peak suggests 24 months (the statutory warranty in Germany); a longer manufacturer guarantee you enter yourself. “More details” adds room, brand, model, serial number, retailer, return deadline and next maintenance. Attach the receipt as a photo or file.

How do I get a list of my belongings for home contents insurance?

Under “Items” with “List for insurance (CSV)”. The file contains your items with their purchase details. “Purchase value by room” is the sum of your purchase prices, not a market value.

When does Inventory show that a warranty is running out?

Inventory shows every deadline in the next 60 days: warranty, return and maintenance. Anything running out in less than 30 days is at the top. Items from 50 € with a running warranty and no receipt yet are listed under “Receipt missing”. You see the deadlines on the page; Inventory sends no reminder by email or push.

Who can see my items, and how do I delete one?

Only you: items belong to your person, not to a company. On the entry you can delete an item or retire it (“Retire (sold, disposed of)”); retired items no longer count toward deadlines or value. Attached receipts stay in your files. If deleting fails because receipts are still attached, retire the item instead.
