Peak Log

Your company's history, automatically: what happened, what changed, why, and what came after. With decisions and their review.

Can I change or delete an entry?

No, and that's intentional: the log is a history, not a document. Open the event and add a correction, a reason or a comment. The annotation sits with the event, and the original stays traceable.

    1. Click the event in the log.
    2. Under “Annotations”, choose correction, reason or comment.
    3. Write the text and save.

  • How do I record a decision and review it later?How-to

How do I record a decision and review it later?

Under “Decisions”, click “+ Decision”: what was decided, why and what it relates to is enough. Expected outcome and review date are optional. When the review is due, the Inbox reminds you; you enter what actually happened and what you learn from it.

    1. Peak Log → Decisions → “+ Decision”.
    2. Enter the decision and the reason; optionally link a product, project or task.
    3. Optional: expected outcome and review date.
    4. On the review date: choose the outcome, note actual values and the learning.

  • How do I record something in the log that no system knows about?How-to

How do I record something in the log that no system knows about?

With “+ Entry”. It's meant for phone calls, market changes or risks that Peak One doesn't see by itself.

    1. Open Peak Log and choose “+ Entry”.
    2. Enter type and title, optionally a description.
    3. When it was and what impact it has.
    4. Optionally link a task, project, product or offer under “Affects”.
    5. Under “Who sees it”, decide whether it stays private, then click “Record”.

  • How do I filter the log to what interests me?How-to

How do I filter the log to what interests me?

By period, impact, module, person, who (human, Peak AI, automation, integration, system) and event types. “Leadership” mode shows only high impact, decisions, KPI outliers, risks, roles and finances; “Mine” shows only what you changed and decided. Active filters appear as chips above and can be removed individually.

  • How do I save or share a log view?How-to

How do I save or share a log view?

Set filters and layout and choose “+ Save view”. You can set a saved view “As default”. “Copy link” shares the current view: whoever opens the link only sees what they're allowed to see.

How do I export events from Peak Log?

Set filters, then choose “CSV” or “JSON” at the top above the list. Exactly the events visible with the current filters are exported.

  • How do I follow what happens with a specific product or project?How-to

How do I follow what happens with a specific product or project?

Open an event related to that object and tap “Follow”. With the “Followed” filter you then see only what happens to it. “History of this object” immediately shows the object's whole story.

  • Peak Log is asking me for a reason. Do I have to answer?How-to

Peak Log is asking me for a reason. Do I have to answer?

No. For high-impact changes, the log asks “Why was it made?”, because the reason will help you and the team later. With “Add reason” you fill it in afterward. “Never ask for this type” turns the question off for that kind of event.

  • How do I compare two periods, or the time before and after a decision?How-to

How do I compare two periods, or the time before and after a decision?

Under “Insights” → “Compare periods”: week, month or before/after decision. Below that, “Time travel” reconstructs the state on a given day from the recorded changes, and “Recurring patterns” shows identical events on the same object from three occurrences on. Sequence in time is never treated as a cause there.

Frequently asked

5
  • Where do the entries in Peak Log come from?Answer

Where do the entries in Peak Log come from?

Almost all are created automatically: Peak One records when tasks are created, completed, blocked or moved, projects are created, a product's price, unit cost, reorder point or status changes (including via Shopify sync), members and roles change, a company becomes a client, offer prices, goals or deals change, and stock drops noticeably. On top of that come decisions and entries you record yourself. You don't have to maintain anything.

  • Who can see what's in the log?Answer

Who can see what's in the log?

An event never shows more than the object itself allows: anyone who may not see a task, a product or a decision won't see its events either. All members of the company see role and member changes. Your own entries without a company stay private; for entries and decisions in a company, you choose whether the team sees them.

  • Why doesn't Peak Log say what the cause was?Answer

Why doesn't Peak Log say what the cause was?

Because closeness in time doesn't prove cause. Peak Log shows what happened before and after, how close in time it was and what data is missing, and labels every statement as fact, sequence in time or hypothesis. The judgment stays with you.

  • What layouts are there in the log?Answer

What layouts are there in the log?

Timeline, list, table, calendar and chart. The table shows time, what, object, before → after, who, module and impact. The calendar counts important and all events per day, and a day opens its timeline.

  • Can I ask Peak Log a question?Answer

Can I ask Peak Log a question?

Yes, in the “Search or ask your company history” field, e.g. “What happened this week?” or “When did we last change the price?”. The answer comes from the events themselves and names what it's based on.
