How do I start a video call and invite someone?

In Peak Meet you open a room right away or prepare a call with title, agenda and time. In the room, “Invite” copies a link that you send yourself. It is valid for seven days. Guests need no account and no installation; they wait until you admit them.

    1. Open Peak Meet and click “Start now with video” or “Start now with audio”. Or fill in “Prepare a call” and click “Prepare call”.
    2. Check camera and microphone in the preview and join.
    3. Click “Invite”. The link is then on your clipboard.
    4. As soon as a guest clicks “Request to join”, you see them under participants as “Waiting for approval”. Click “Admit”.

How do I record decisions and next steps from the call?

As host you have the “Results · private” tab in the room. There you note decisions, next steps and open questions, with owners and due dates. Only you see these notes. You turn a saved and confirmed next step into a Peak Work task with “Take over as my own task”. A second click creates no duplicate task. “Markdown” exports agenda and results.

    1. In the room, open “Results · private” and add an entry: decision, next step or open question.
    2. Save and tick “Content reviewed and confirmed”.
    3. For the next step, click “Take over as my own task”.

  • How do I stay in control of the room as host?Answer

How do I stay in control of the room as host?

You decide who comes in: guests wait until you admit them and until then see neither agenda nor chat nor other participants. Under participants you can remove someone, “Lock room” lets nobody else in and “Revoke invitation link” makes the link invalid. Guests already admitted stay in the room. “End for everyone” closes the call. Guest names are not verified.

  • Camera, microphone or connection don't work in Peak Meet. What can I do?Troubleshooting

Camera, microphone or connection don't work in Peak Meet. What can I do?

Usually the browser has not been allowed to use the devices. Allow camera and microphone for app.peak-atlas.com, close other programs using the camera and reload the page. You can also join without camera and microphone and switch them on later. If you hear nothing, allow audio playback with the button shown.

    1. Allow camera and microphone via the lock icon in the address bar and reload the page.
    2. In the preview, choose the right device instead of “System default”.
    3. If it says “Reconnecting …”, wait a moment. If it says “Disconnected”, join again.
    4. If the top says that Peak Meet is still being set up for calls, calls are not available in your workspace yet. Then write to us.
