In two steps: choose whose time you're planning, and check the projects. People and projects come from Peak One. Then you put the first work straight into a person's row, and Peak immediately shows who is free and who has too much.
- Open Peak Plan.
- Tick the people you're planning and check their hours per week.
- Check the projects or create a new one.
- In the planning view, tap a week for a person and choose the project and hours.

It checks the next four weeks in a fixed order: overbooking, work during absences, projects without staffing, work after a project's end and lots of free time. If everything is healthy, one click is enough.
- Open “Review” in Peak Plan.
- Go through the items step by step and accept suggestions or open the spot in the planning view.
- Finish the review.

2How does Peak Plan calculate utilization?Answer
Page to shareHow does Peak Plan calculate utilization?
Available time is the person's weekly capacity minus internal time and absences, prorated by their working days. Assigned time is the hours of all projects in that week, prorated if an assignment starts or ends mid-week. Under 60% counts as underutilized, up to 85% as healthy, up to 100% as full, and above that as overbooked. None of this is stored; it's recalculated every time you open it.

Open planningCan I view the schedule by project instead of by person?Answer
Page to shareCan I view the schedule by project instead of by person?
Yes. At the top of the schedule, switch between “People” and “Projects” under “Plan by”. With “Projects”, projects are in rows and weeks in columns, with planned hours and people per week. Use the arrows and “Today” to page through the weeks.

2Why doesn't Peak Plan save my assignment or capacity?Error message
Page to shareWhy doesn't Peak Plan save my assignment or capacity?
A value is outside what Peak Plan accepts. Capacity and hours per week are between 0 and 80, and internal time can be at most as high as capacity. An assignment needs a person, project, period and hours, and the end can't be before the start. Absences can span at most one year.

You haven't selected anyone whose time you plan yet. Names and accounts come from your organization. With “Select team” you check the people. You can't continue without at least one person.
