  • How do I ask a question with Peak Polls?How-to

How do I ask a question with Peak Polls?

Type your question on Peak Polls › Home. Peak Polls recognizes the type (for example yes/no for “Should we …?”, ranking for “Rank …”); you add the options and choose who votes, the deadline and who sees the votes. “Publish” invites your workspace or the chosen people through their Inbox, or you get a link.

    1. Open Peak Polls and write your question in the field at the top.
    2. Check the recognized type and enter the options. Enter jumps to the next one.
    3. Choose “Who votes”, “Deadline” and “Who sees the vote”, then “Publish”.

  • How does the result become a decision?How-to

How does the result become a decision?

On the poll's page, click “Confirm decision”. Peak Polls suggests the leading option and the rule; you write the decision in one sentence, the why, the minority's concerns, who is responsible and when it takes effect. Confirmed decisions stay unchanged; a change becomes a new version. Then, under “Next steps”, you create tasks in Peak Work.

  • How do I export the votes of a poll?How-to

How do I export the votes of a poll?

Under “Manage” → “Export as CSV”. Only the person who asked can do this. Names and times are only included if the identity mode allows it; not for anonymous polls. Excel and PDF export aren't available yet.

  • Can I save a poll as a draft or copy it?How-to

Can I save a poll as a draft or copy it?

Yes. “Save as draft” in the composer creates it without anyone seeing it; you publish or delete it on its page. “Duplicate” under “Manage” creates a copy as a draft, for example for the next round. After the first vote, a poll's question and options stay as they are.

  • Who can see how I voted?Answer

Who can see how I voted?

That's stated above the options before every vote. “With names”: everyone who sees the results also sees your name. “Anonymous to participants”: only the person who asked sees names. “Anonymous”: nobody, not even the person who asked. The vote is then stored without any link to you and without its own timestamp, and can't be changed afterwards. This setting can't be changed after publishing.

  • Can people without a Peak account vote?Answer

Can people without a Peak account vote?

Yes, if you choose “Anyone with the link” under “Who votes”. After publishing, you get the link. Whoever has it votes on a phone or computer, one vote per browser. If the poll is “With names”, the person enters their name. “Generate new link” invalidates the old one immediately.

  • What do quorum, deadline and “Remind those who haven't voted” mean?Answer

What do quorum, deadline and “Remind those who haven't voted” mean?

The quorum is the minimum number of votes (as a count or a share of invitees). Once it's reached or everyone has voted, you get “Ready to decide” in your Inbox. After the deadline, the poll accepts no more votes. “Remind those who haven't voted” writes only to invitees who haven't voted yet, at most every 12 hours.

  • When do participants see the result?Answer

When do participants see the result?

You set that when creating the poll under “More options” → “Results visible”: “Immediately, live”, “After voting” (default), “After closing” or “Only for you”. That way no one votes along just because they see what's ahead. The setting appears on the poll under “Trust”.

  • Can I change my vote?Answer

    Can I change my vote?

Yes, until the poll closes, if the person who asked chose “Possible until the end” under “Change vote”. With “Not possible” and with anonymous polls, the first vote counts. Every change appears in the poll's history.

  • What do decision rule, binding and advisory mean?Answer

What do decision rule, binding and advisory mean?

The decision rule says when an option wins: “Most votes win”, “More than 50%”, “At least two thirds”, “At least 75%”, “Unanimous” or “Advisory only”. Binding means the result applies as is; advisory means you decide afterward yourself. Both are visible on every poll, and a tie is named.
