Peak Radar

Finds what deserves attention in your modules' data, explains it with evidence and checks whether your action worked.

How do I get rid of a signal that doesn't concern me?

With “Dismiss” and a reason. The signal stays hidden as long as the situation doesn't change; if it gets worse, it comes back. With “Watch” and an amount, it only reappears once the impact exceeds that amount. Both can be undone right away.

    1. Open the signal on the radar.
    2. Choose “Dismiss” and a reason, or “Watch” with an amount.
    3. You'll find dismissed signals under “Investigate” and can bring them back with “Back on radar”.

  • How do I tell Radar what matters to me?How-to

How do I tell Radar what matters to me?

With three short questions under “Set focus”: what matters most right now (up to three topics), what may interrupt you, and from what amount per month something is material. Signals related to your focus move to the front. The answers are private and only for your radar.

    1. Open Radar and choose “Set focus”.
    2. Choose up to three topics.
    3. Choose what may interrupt you.
    4. Optionally enter the materiality in euros per month, then click “Apply”.

  • Can I ask Radar something?How-to

    Can I ask Radar something?

Yes, in the “Ask the radar” field, e.g. “What's costing us more than €5,000 a month?” or “Which opportunities are we missing?”. Radar then filters to matching signals and shows them under “Matching your question”. “Reset” shows everything again. Use “Time horizon” to narrow it down further.

  • How do I pass a signal on to someone on the team?How-to

How do I pass a signal on to someone on the team?

On the signal, choose “Assign” and an owner. You can also create a task in Peak Work directly from the signal. Everything someone is investigating, has been assigned or is watching appears under “Investigate” with its status.

  • How do I close a signal after we've acted?How-to

How do I close a signal after we've acted?

First, with “Record action”, note in one sentence what you did, e.g. “Raised price by €2”. Peak then watches whether it works. To close, choose “Close as resolved” with cause, action, what changed and what you'll do earlier next time.

    1. Open the signal under “Investigate”.
    2. “Record action”: what did you do?
    3. Later, choose “Close as resolved” and fill in the fields.
    4. Closed by mistake? “Reopen”.

  • Where do the signals in Radar come from?Answer

Where do the signals in Radar come from?

Only from data that's already in Peak One: overdue or repeatedly postponed tasks, goals and commitments at risk, the current bottleneck, leaks, profit anomalies, rising customer complaints, experiments without a decision, low inventory and initiatives at risk in the annual plan. Every signal names its source, its evidence and how certain Peak is. If a module has no data, Radar sees nothing there and says so.

  • Why is one signal at the top and another not?Answer

Why is one signal at the top and another not?

Peak calculates impact × urgency × confidence and then adjusts: whatever affects your focus, is confirmed by several modules or was resolved once and is coming back moves up; old data, no way to act and your feedback (“too early”, “not useful”) push it down. With weak evidence, a signal stays quietly under “Emerging” until the evidence gets stronger. Below each signal you see the reason for its rank.

  • When is a signal considered resolved?Answer

When is a signal considered resolved?

Once you record an action, Peak watches whether the finding moves. If it disappears from the data or gets much smaller, Radar shows that; if it stays the same after seven days, Radar suggests reopening it. When closing, you record the cause, the outcome and what you learned. The verdict “Finding gone” or “Impact open” comes from the data, not from opinion.

  • What does “Investigate” show me about a signal?Answer

What does “Investigate” show me about a signal?

What the signal is based on, possible causes as hypotheses, what happened in Peak Log in the 14 days before, whether the same finding has occurred before and what helped then, and a next step. Hypotheses are rule-based guesses, not findings, and closeness in time is no proof of a cause.

  • What happens when I answer “Was this helpful?” on a signal?Answer

What happens when I answer “Was this helpful?” on a signal?

Your feedback shifts the weighting of that source, at most 40% down or 30% up. It never changes the data. Similar signals then move up or down.

  • What do “Finding gone”, “Improved” and “Impact open” mean?Answer

What do “Finding gone”, “Improved” and “Impact open” mean?

That's the verdict from the data at closing. Finding gone: it's no longer in the data. Improved: it's significantly smaller. No measurable impact: it stayed the same. Impact open: it was still there at closing, and Peak can't confirm that the action worked. If a resolved finding comes back, it appears on the radar as “Back again”.

Errors & problems

  • A signal has disappeared from the radar. Why?Troubleshooting

A signal has disappeared from the radar. Why?

Usually the data no longer shows the finding, or it belongs to a different company than the one active in Settings. Dismissed signals stay hidden until the situation changes. Signals under “Watch” are on resubmission, and weak ones sit quietly under “Emerging”.

    1. Under “Investigate”, check whether the signal is listed as “No longer active” or “Dismissed”.
    2. Check which company is active in Settings.
    3. Bring dismissed signals back with “Back on radar”.
