  • How do I start the first review round?How-to

How do I start the first review round?

First pick a template: “Conversation review” without ratings, or “Review with assessment” with three levels and a rationale. Then you create a cycle: period, template and who takes part. Without a selection, all employees active at the end of the period take part. After the start, the reviews appear for the people involved under “Reviews”.

    1. Click “Use this template” on a template.
    2. Under “Reviews”: “Create cycle”, choose period and version, “Create cycle as draft”.
    3. “Check participants” and narrow them down if needed.
    4. Start the cycle. Only feedback and 1:1s? Then go straight to “Go to feedback”.

  • How do I give feedback or ask for it?How-to

How do I give feedback or ask for it?

Under “Feedback” with “Give feedback”: observation, impact and suggestion, plus the kind (praise, constructive, coaching, recognition, general) and who may read it. Unfinished feedback stays as a draft. “Request feedback” asks for feedback about yourself or your direct reports, with a deadline. Sent feedback can't be changed anymore. The recipient confirms receipt.

    1. Open “Feedback” and click “Give feedback”.
    2. Choose the person, the kind and who may read it.
    3. Fill in observation, impact and suggestion and click “Send feedback” or “Save draft”.
    4. To request: “Request feedback”, choose the person and “Reply by”, then “Send request”.

  • How do I schedule a 1:1, and who sees my notes?How-to

How do I schedule a 1:1, and who sees my notes?

Under “1:1s” with “Schedule meeting”, always with your current manager or your direct report. You collect topics together. Shared notes are visible to both, private notes only to you, not even to HR. After the meeting is closed, the notes can't be changed. “Agree step” turns the meeting into a development step with a deadline, and the owner can turn it into a Peak task.

    1. Open “1:1s” and click “Schedule meeting”.
    2. Choose date and time (your local time zone).
    3. Collect topics and write shared or private notes.
    4. At the end, agree on a concrete next step with “Agree step”.

Errors & problems

  • Why can't I submit my review or close the cycle?Error message

Why can't I submit my review or close the cycle?

“Required answers or a clear rating rationale are missing”: a required question is empty or an assessment has no rationale. “Review changed. Please reload”: the review was saved in parallel, so reload. A manager review can only be finalized once all needed contributions and any required calibration are in. HR can only close the cycle once all reviews are final and the acknowledgements are in. Only final self and manager reviews can be shared.

  • Does Peak rate employees with AI?Not available yet

Does Peak rate employees with AI?

No. Peak can prepare a review: it gathers the evidence from the period that you're allowed to see (feedback, shared notes, development steps, goals), with source links and a note when almost everything comes from the last 30 days. If AI access is configured, that becomes an editable draft. The AI never sets a rating, and there are no rankings or quotas. The decision stays with people.
