  • How do I send a contract for signature with Peak Sign?How-to

How do I send a contract for signature with Peak Sign?

Drop the contract on Peak Sign › Home (PDF, DOCX or pasted text). Peak Sign recognizes the contract type, parties, who signs, compensation and deadlines and shows “Ready to send” or what's still missing. Check the details, click “Send”, and the other side gets their personal link. You sign afterwards in Peak One.

    1. Open Peak Sign and drop the contract or paste its text.
    2. Check the signers and terms. “Source” shows where a detail appears in the text.
    3. Click “Send”. When it's your turn, you sign directly on the contract page.

  • The other side wants to change something. What now?How-to

The other side wants to change something. What now?

The request appears in your Inbox and at the top of the contract page. “Adjust and resend” opens the contract for editing: existing signatures lapse, the old links become invalid, and the new version gets a new version number. Then you send it as usual.

  • How do I create a contract from a template?How-to

How do I create a contract from a template?

Under “Templates” there are reviewed texts for a mutual non-disclosure agreement, a services agreement and a freelancer agreement. You only fill in what changes; Peak Sign inserts your details and nothing else. Templates are a starting point, not legal advice.

    1. Open Peak Sign → “Templates” and choose “Fill in →”.
    2. Enter the other party, your side and the terms. The preview shows what the contract looks like.
    3. Click “Create contract”.
    4. Review the contract like any other and send it.

  • How do I set who signs, and in what order?How-to

How do I set who signs, and in what order?

On the contract page with “Change signers”. For each person, you set side, role (“signs” or “receives copy”) and step. The same step means at the same time; a later step only gets the link once everyone before has signed. One to ten people are allowed.

    1. Open the contract and choose “Change signers”.
    2. Add people with “+ Add person”, or yourself with “+ I'll sign myself”.
    3. Set name, job title, side, role and step for each person.
    4. Click “Save”.

  • How do I withdraw a sent contract or delete a draft?How-to

How do I withdraw a sent contract or delete a draft?

You withdraw a sent contract on the contract page with “Withdraw”; after that, no one can sign anymore. The person who created the contract can delete drafts, withdrawn and declined contracts. Signed or active contracts are kept.

    1. Open the contract.
    2. If it's out for signature, choose “Withdraw” and confirm.
    3. You delete a draft with “Delete draft”.

  • How do I decide whether a contract is renewed or terminated?How-to

How do I decide whether a contract is renewed or terminated?

45 days before the notice deadline, a signed contract switches to “Decision needed”. On the contract page, choose “Renew”, “Renegotiate” or “Terminate”. Peak Sign creates a task for it in Peak Work.

    1. Open Peak Sign → “Intelligence” or the contract marked “Decision needed”.
    2. Choose “Renew”, “Renegotiate” or “Terminate”.
    3. You'll find the corresponding task in Peak Work.

  • How do I ask a contract something, for example when we can terminate?How-to

How do I ask a contract something, for example when we can terminate?

On the contract page under “Ask this contract”. The answer comes from what Peak Sign detected in the contract and always shows the clause verbatim. It isn't legal advice; the contract is what counts.

    1. Open the contract.
    2. Type your question under “Ask this contract”, for example “When can we terminate?”.
    3. Click “Ask”. “in document” jumps to the quoted passage.

  • How do I change a contract that has already been sent?How-to

How do I change a contract that has already been sent?

A sent text is frozen so that everyone signs the same thing. Open the contract and click “Edit”: it becomes a draft again, existing signatures lapse and the old links stop working. Now you change it as usual, also via “What should be different?”, and send the new version. A signed contract stays unchanged; for changes you create an amendment.

    1. Open the contract and choose “Edit”.
    2. Describe the change or adjust the terms.
    3. Send the new version. The other side gets a new link.

  • Does the other side need an account to sign?Answer

Does the other side need an account to sign?

No. Each person gets a personal link, on a phone or computer. They see the key terms, read the contract, sign by typing or drawing, and can request a change or decline. The link shows only this one contract. If you change the contract afterwards, the old link is no longer valid.

  • How do I know why a contract hasn't been signed yet?Answer

How do I know why a contract hasn't been signed yet?

Every contract page answers “Why not signed yet?” at the top: not opened yet, opened but not signed, change requested, or it's your turn, each with the next step. Peak Sign sends reminders automatically (unopened after 3 days, opened after 4 days, three times at most) as soon as someone on your team opens Peak Sign. “Remind now” or “Copy link” works immediately.

  • What happens once everyone has signed?Answer

What happens once everyone has signed?

Peak Sign generates the executed PDF with a signature page, history and checksum, sends the other side their copy (if email is set up) and creates in Peak Work what you selected when sending: an onboarding task, a task three weeks before the notice period and your side's obligations. Notice periods appear on Home and under Intelligence.

  • The other party declined. Can I still save the contract?Answer

The other party declined. Can I still save the contract?

Yes. A declined contract can't be signed as is, but you reopen it as a draft on the contract page with “Revise”. The old links then no longer work, and you send the new version as usual. Anyone who only wants to change something should request a change instead of declining.

  • What does “Intelligence” show in Peak Sign?Answer

What does “Intelligence” show in Peak Sign?

How much revenue is contractually committed, which deadlines are coming in the next twelve months and what's in your contracts. Plus the largest active contracts, the time to signature and red flags such as unlimited liability, payment terms over 30 days, automatic renewal or exclusivity. “Search all contracts” finds words or clauses. Everything is detected rule-based from the contract text.

  • What does “deviation from standard” mean in Peak Sign?Answer

What does “deviation from standard” mean in Peak Sign?

A contract made from a template keeps its standard for comparison. “Against standard” shows every place where the draft differs from it: changed terms (price, term, notice period) and changed, new or removed clauses. With “Mark changes from standard” you see them right in the document. If a protected clause differs (liability, for example), the contract can only be sent once an owner or admin approves exactly this version; every further text change needs a new approval.

  • Why does Peak ask back instead of simply applying the change?Answer

Why does Peak ask back instead of simply applying the change?

Peak applies nothing it can't read with certainty. A request like “term 24 months, price €3,000” is first read by fixed rules; only the rest goes to the AI. If something stays unclear (which price, from when, which clause), it appears as an open question in the suggestion, and none of it lands in the contract. Every applied change is a new version that you take back with “Undo”.

  • What happens to my voice recording in Peak Sign?Answer

What happens to my voice recording in Peak Sign?

Peak Sign doesn't store any recording. Dictation runs through your browser's speech recognition, which, depending on the browser, sends audio to its provider; Peak only receives the recognized text, which you see and can edit before sending. If your organization is set to EU data residency, the microphone stays off in Peak Sign and you type your request instead.

  • Who can edit, send and export in Peak Sign?Answer

Who can edit, send and export in Peak Sign?

Owners and admins can do everything, including approving deviations from protected clauses. Members edit, send and export as far as their access profile allows these actions; guests only read. Every action is checked on the server; the page only hides what you're not allowed to do. Under Contracts you export the whole portfolio as CSV (partner, type, status, value, term, notice period).

  • Why can't Peak Sign read my contract file?Error message

Why can't Peak Sign read my contract file?

Peak Sign reads PDF, DOCX and text up to 10 MB. A damaged or password-protected file can't be opened. If the file contains hardly any text, it's usually a scan: paste the contract text with “Paste text” or upload a PDF with a text layer.

  • The other party sees “This link isn't valid.” What should I do?Error message

The other party sees “This link isn't valid.” What should I do?

Maybe the contract was changed and resent, so the old link no longer works. Or the link was copied incompletely. Open the contract in Peak Sign and copy the current link with “Copy link”. “New link” on the person creates a fresh link; the previous one then stops working.

  • Peak Sign says email sending isn't set up. How does the link get to the other party?Error message

Peak Sign says email sending isn't set up. How does the link get to the other party?

You send the link yourself. The contract is sent and waiting; only the email doesn't go out. On the contract page, copy each person's personal link with “Copy link” and send it by email or chat. Automatic reminders won't go out by email either.

  • Is a signature with Peak Sign legally valid? Not available yet

Is a signature with Peak Sign legally valid?

Peak Sign creates a simple electronic signature through a personal link and stores the time, version and a checksum of the signed text as evidence. That's enough for many contracts, but not for some (for example when the law requires written form or a qualified signature). Verified and qualified signatures through a trust service provider come later. If in doubt, ask your legal advisor.

  • Why can't I edit this scan?Not available yet

Why can't I edit this scan?

A scanned contract is an image without text. Today Peak Sign reads PDFs with a text layer, DOCX and pasted text; text recognition for scans comes later. If you can, upload the original file or paste the contract text. A contract from a template is the easiest to adjust, because its terms are placeholders.
