  • How do I give someone access to only certain apps?How-to

How do I give someone access to only certain apps?

With an access profile. It defines which apps someone can open, which records they see and which actions they're allowed to take. Start with a template like “Sales Rep” or “Finance Viewer” and assign the profile to a person or team. Anyone without a profile keeps working as before with all apps for their role.

    1. Open Settings → Access profiles.
    2. On a template, choose “Use” and adjust the profile. A template doesn't change anyone's access until you assign it.
    3. Open Members & teams, the person, “Access” tab, and choose the profile under “Access profile”.

    1. Open the person under Members & teams, “Access” tab.

How do I set up single sign-on (SAML) and SCIM for my company?

Under Settings → Sign-in & provisioning (owners and admins only). First you verify your email domain with a DNS TXT record, then you add your identity provider's metadata. Required SSO can only be switched on once the connection is active; owners can always sign in. For SCIM you create a token there and enter it with the SCIM address in Okta or Entra ID; SCIM only assigns member or guest.

  • How do I connect SCIM with Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, and what does SCIM create?How-to

How do I connect SCIM with Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, and what does SCIM create?

Under Settings → Sign-in & provisioning → “SCIM provisioning”, create a token and enter it in your identity provider together with the SCIM base URL. SCIM then creates people, suspends them and maintains teams. It only creates members and guests, only with addresses on your verified domains; you manage owners and admins in Peak.

    1. Give the token a name, e.g. “Okta”, and choose “Create token”.
    2. Copy the token right away. It's shown only this once.
    3. In the identity provider, enter the SCIM base URL (Tenant URL) and the token as a bearer token.
    4. Groups become teams. A role named after an access profile assigns that profile; “member” or “guest” sets the role.
    5. “Revoke” rejects requests with this token immediately.

  • What do “Sign-in only via SSO” and “Join on first sign-in (JIT)” do?Answer

What do “Sign-in only via SSO” and “Join on first sign-in (JIT)” do?

Mandatory SSO sends every address on your verified domains to sign in through your identity provider; Google, email link and passkey then lead there. Owners are exempt, so a fault at the identity provider never locks you out. JIT makes people with a verified domain members automatically on their first SSO sign-in, with the role and access profile you choose for it.

    1. Mandatory SSO can only be turned on once the SAML connection is active and at least one domain is verified.
    2. Test signing in via SSO before you make it mandatory.
    3. If you remove the last verified domain, SSO sign-in no longer finds your organization and mandatory SSO switches off.

  • What can an API key do, and what can't it do?Answer

What can an API key do, and what can't it do?

A key acts as you, only in the workspace where you created it, and never with more rights than you have yourself. Depending on its scopes it can read, edit and publish pages and funnels, read leads, contacts and metrics, read today's Focus 3, and read the financial plan or change it with a preview. Deleting and admin actions are never possible with a key.

    1. Publishing is a scope of its own and only works if you're allowed to publish yourself.
    2. “Edit financial plan” never triggers a bank transfer.
    3. At most 120 requests per minute per key.
    4. Every change appears in the audit log as “Via MCP” or “Via the API”.
    5. Guests can't create keys.

Partly. Peak Task, Peak Focus (Today), your money planning and documents in Peak Docs that you've already opened online remain available without a connection. Changes you make there offline wait on the device and are sent once the connection is back, without duplicates. Other pages show the offline page without a connection. I don't see “Organization”, “Members & teams” or “Audit log”.

Which settings you see depends on your role in the active organization. If you open such a page via a direct link without permission, Peak won't find it.

    1. At the top right under “Settings for”, check whether the right organization is active.
    2. Only owners and admins see Organization, Members & teams, Access profiles, Your Peak Atlas, Developers and Audit log.
    3. If you don't belong to an organization yet, organization pages only appear once you create one or are invited.

  • “No permission.” or “This action isn't enabled for you.” What does that mean?Error message

“No permission.” or “This action isn't enabled for you.” What does that mean?

Your role or access profile in this organization doesn't allow this action, for example editing instead of only reading. Nothing has changed. An owner or admin can give you more rights: with a different role, a different access profile or an exception for you.

    1. Check that the right organization is active. In another workspace your rights may differ.
    2. Ask an owner or admin. They find you under Members & teams, tab “Access”.
    3. Owners and admins are never restricted by an access profile.

  • Why am I missing an app or a button that my colleagues have?Troubleshooting

Why am I missing an app or a button that my colleagues have?

Usually because of your access profile. It sets which apps you open, which records you see and which actions you may take. An app that isn't enabled for you appears neither in navigation nor in ⌘K, search or Ask Peak, and a direct link to it leads to your start page.

    1. Check that the right organization is active.
    2. Guests see less than members. Your role is shown in the user menu.
    3. If you chose “My focus” under Work mode, the sidebar shows only your up to four screens. Your access doesn't change because of it.
    4. If you're really missing something, ask an owner or admin to adjust your profile or give you an exception.
