Peak Conversations

Record or upload conversations: transcript, a short summary and the next steps as tasks, with evidence in what was said.

How does a conversation turn into a task?

Record a voice note in Peak Conversations or upload the recording. Peak transcribes it, summarizes it and suggests what you committed to, with a date and the sentence as evidence. “Accept” creates the task in Work, with a link back to the conversation.

    1. Open Peak Conversations and choose “Record or upload”.
    2. For a conversation with others, you confirm that everyone agreed.
    3. Wait until “Done” appears; you can close the page.
    4. Check the suggestions and accept what's right.

  • How do my sipgate calls get into Peak?How-to

How do my sipgate calls get into Peak?

Connect sipgate in Peak Conversations under Settings → Calls from sipgate with a personal token (scope history:read). Peak then reads your call history every few minutes and takes over every call sipgate recorded, including those from the last 24 hours when you switch it on. The conversations stay private until you share them, and tasks from them stay suggestions. It's the same connection Peak CRM uses to make calls.

    1. In sipgate, create a personal access token with history:read under Settings.
    2. Open Peak Conversations → Settings and enter the token ID and token.
    3. Tick the box if sipgate announces the recording at the start of the call.
    4. New recorded calls then appear in the list by themselves.

Frequently asked

  • Does Peak create tasks from conversations by itself?Answer

Does Peak create tasks from conversations by itself?

Only if you allow it. The default is “Suggest only”. In the settings you can choose to let Peak create clear-cut tasks itself: only when it's clear that you committed to something, what it is and by when. Anything vague (“give them a call sometime”) always stays a suggestion. Recordings delivered from a phone system never create tasks by themselves.

  • Who can see my recordings, and how long are they kept?Answer

Who can see my recordings, and how long are they kept?

Recordings are kept in private storage and can only be played via short-lived links. A conversation is private until you share it with your company. Audio files are deleted after the period set in the settings (90 days by default); you can delete the transcript, the audio or the whole conversation yourself at any time. Tasks in Work remain.

Errors & problems

1
  • Recording or uploading in Peak Conversations doesn't work.Troubleshooting

Recording or uploading in Peak Conversations doesn't work.

Usually microphone access is missing, or the file doesn't fit. A recording may be up to 25 MB, as MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, WebM or OGG. If your company requires consent, you confirm before a conversation with others that everyone agrees. If an upload breaks off, just upload the file again; nothing is created twice.

    1. Allow microphone access in your browser settings and click “● Start recording” again.
    2. If your browser can't record, upload a file instead under “How does the conversation get to Peak?”.
    3. Split long conversations into several files under 25 MB.
