  • How do I get my store orders into Peak Profit?How-to

How do I get my store orders into Peak Profit?

Either through Shopify in Integrations (read-only) and then “Sync orders”, or as a CSV: in Shopify under Orders → Export → “All orders”. Importing again never creates duplicates; the same order is updated.

    1. Open Peak Profit → Rules & data, or the home page.
    2. Connect and sync Shopify, or choose the orders CSV.
    3. Peak shows how many orders, products and customers were found. Click “Import” to apply.
    4. Then add unit costs, most important first.

  • How do I enter unit costs, and what happens to older orders?How-to

How do I enter unit costs, and what happens to older orders?

On the product page under “Unit costs”, or all at once in “Data”. Every cost version has a valid-from date: orders before it keep their old costs. If you choose an earlier date, orders from that day on are recalculated. A version can be reverted.

How do I delete my Profit data?

Under Rules & data → “Data”: orders, ad spend or everything. Anyone who manages the company can delete. Products and their unit costs stay, because they belong to the catalog in Peak Products.

  • How do I record my ad spend in Peak Profit?How-to

How do I record my ad spend in Peak Profit?

Under “Marketing” → “Record ad spend”, as a monthly budget per channel or as a daily report (CSV). Peak spreads a monthly budget evenly across the days. For a report, Peak recognizes day, campaign, cost, clicks and conversion value. The same day and campaign are replaced, never counted twice.

    1. Open Peak Profit → “Marketing”.
    2. Monthly budget: choose channel and month, enter the amount, click “Save monthly budget”.
    3. Or report: in Google Ads under Reports → Campaigns by day, in Meta in Ads Manager → Export, then choose the CSV here.
    4. If the channel isn't in the file, choose it under “Channel, if not in the file”.

  • How do I enter shipping, payment fees and handling?How-to

How do I enter shipping, payment fees and handling?

As cost rules under “Rules”. Rules only apply where an order has no actual costs, and they're labeled as “Rule” everywhere. Once saved, they also apply retroactively, because rules are assumptions, not recorded costs. Until you save something, shipping and fees are missing from the calculation.

    1. Open Peak Profit → “Rules”.
    2. Under “Shipping, handling, fees”, enter shipping per order, handling per order or per unit, payment fee in % and fixed, cost per return and other variable costs.
    3. Optional: shipping per country and fees per marketplace.
    4. Under “Cost of goods and refunds”, decide what happens with missing unit costs and refunded goods.
    5. Save.

  • How do I work out what a price increase or cheaper purchasing would bring?How-to

How do I work out what a price increase or cheaper purchasing would bring?

In Forecast with “What if …?”. You change price, volume, unit costs, discount rate, refund rate, shipping per order or ad budget, for all products or one, and see the result for one month. A higher ad budget doesn't automatically bring more sales there: change the volume too. Results are a calculation, not a prediction.

    1. Open Peak Profit → “Forecast”.
    2. Under “What if …?”, change at least one value, for example −8 for 8% cheaper purchasing.
    3. Compare revenue, contribution margin and break-even ROAS.
    4. “Save” stores the scenario. “Create as test” turns it into a task in Peak Work, and after 14 days Peak compares expectation and result.

  • How do I set targets for margin and contribution margin?How-to

How do I set targets for margin and contribution margin?

Under “Rules” in the “What Peak measures against” section. There you set the target CM margin, the target contribution margin per month and the target margin per product; empty means the overall target for products. Without a monthly target, Forecast shows “No monthly plan set”; with a target, it shows the gap.

    1. Open Peak Profit → “Rules”.
    2. Enter your targets under “What Peak measures against”.
    3. Set the time zone if your days should be cut differently.
    4. Save.

  • How do I record what we decided and whether it worked?How-to

How do I record what we decided and whether it worked?

In Forecast under “Decisions”. You write the decision, the reason, the expected effect per month and a date for evaluation. Tasks from hints land there automatically with a measurement date. On the evaluation day, Peak shows whether the target was met or missed.

    1. Open Peak Profit → “Forecast” and scroll to “Decisions”.
    2. Enter the decision and why, for example “BAG-BLK €3 more expensive”.
    3. Set “Expected effect per month” and “Evaluate on”. Under “Affects”, choose a product or the whole business.
    4. Click “Record decision”.

Frequently asked

  • What does “Confidence 86%” next to contribution margin mean?Answer

What does “Confidence 86%” next to contribution margin mean?

How reliable the number is. Peak weighs how much revenue has known unit costs, whether shipping, payment fees, advertising and taxes are captured, and how fresh the data is. Rules and estimates count less than actual values. “Data” shows what's missing and what adding it would bring.

  • What's the difference between ROAS, POAS and break-even ROAS?Answer

What's the difference between ROAS, POAS and break-even ROAS?

ROAS is revenue per advertising euro and ignores margin. POAS is contribution margin before advertising per advertising euro: above 1, advertising makes money. Break-even ROAS is the ROAS at which advertising pays for itself at your margins. Peak calculates all three “blended”, meaning all ad spend against all orders.

  • I don't run ads. Why does Peak Profit still ask about ad spend?Answer

I don't run ads. Why does Peak Profit still ask about ad spend?

Without input, Peak doesn't know whether ad spend is missing or there isn't any. Under “Rules”, check “We don't run paid advertising”. Marketing then shows “According to your rules, you don't run paid advertising.” instead of asking about ad spend.

  • Why does Forecast say “It's too early for a forecast.”?Error message

Why does Forecast say “It's too early for a forecast.”?

Peak needs at least 14 days with orders. Import older orders and the forecast appears right away. The further it reaches, the less certain it is: 12 months is an extrapolation, not a plan. Seasonality and promotions aren't factored in.

  • Why can't I delete my Profit data?Error message

Why can't I delete my Profit data?

Only owners and admins who manage the company can delete its Profit data. If you're a member, ask one of them. In your personal space, you delete it yourself. Products and their unit costs stay in the catalog when you delete.
