  • How do I get my email and chats into Peak Chat?How-to

How do I get my email and chats into Peak Chat?

Peak Chat uses the accounts you've connected under Settings › Integrations: Gmail, Outlook, Slack and Microsoft Teams. When you open it, Peak syncs the latest messages. If the same person writes to you by email and on Slack, Peak recognizes them by their email address and shows a single chat.

    1. Open Settings › Integrations and connect Gmail, Outlook, Slack or Teams.
    2. Open Peak Chat. The first sync starts automatically.
    3. Use “Refresh” at the bottom of the list to fetch new messages at any time.

  • How do I turn off newsletters completely?How-to

How do I turn off newsletters completely?

Under Peak Chat › Newsletters, turn on “Turn off all newsletters”. Peak unsubscribes you from every detected newsletter through the standard unsubscribe method (one-click unsubscribe or unsubscribe email) and hides anything that still arrives. Senders you follow are left alone. Invoices, orders, bookings and security emails never count as newsletters.

    1. Open Peak Chat › Newsletters.
    2. Turn on “Turn off all newsletters” and confirm.
    3. For each sender you can choose “Follow”, “Keep” or “Hide” at any time.

  • Who sees my messages in Peak Chat, and how do I delete them?How-to

Who sees my messages in Peak Chat, and how do I delete them?

Only you. Even if an account is shared within the team, each person only sees the messages they synced themselves. Under Peak Chat › Channels, “Delete chat data” deletes everything Peak has stored. Your mailboxes stay unchanged.

  • How do I reply in Peak Chat, and which channel does the reply go through?How-to

How do I reply in Peak Chat, and which channel does the reply go through?

You write your message at the bottom of the conversation. If the person writes to you through several channels, you choose the channel. Replies go through Gmail, Outlook, Slack and Teams; for email, as a reply in the same thread. Peak never sends without you.

    1. Open the conversation.
    2. Choose the channel if needed.
    3. Write in “Write a message …”. Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a new line.

  • How do I pin, mute or archive a conversation?How-to

How do I pin, mute or archive a conversation?

At the top of the conversation. “Pin” pins it, “Unpin” undoes that. “Mute” stops it from counting as “Needs you”. “Archive (E)” moves it to the archive, and “Unarchive” brings it back. All of this applies only in Peak, not in the mailbox itself.

    1. Open the conversation.
    2. At the top, choose “Pin”, “Mute” or “Archive (E)”.
    3. You'll find archived conversations in the “Archive” section.

  • How do I decide what Peak does with a single newsletter?How-to

How do I decide what Peak does with a single newsletter?

Under “Newsletters” or directly in the email, choose per sender: “Follow” (stays in chat, is never unsubscribed), “Keep” (under Automated until you decide), “Hide” (keeps arriving, Peak hides it), “Unsubscribe” (Peak unsubscribes you through the standard method) or “Block” (unsubscribe and hide everything that follows).

    1. Open Peak Chat → “Newsletters” or a newsletter email.
    2. For the sender, choose “Follow”, “Keep”, “Hide”, “Unsubscribe” or “Block”.
    3. You can change your choice at any time.

  • Why does a newsletter say “Unsubscribe only via the sender's page”?Answer

Why does a newsletter say “Unsubscribe only via the sender's page”?

Some senders offer neither one-click unsubscribe nor an unsubscribe address, only a web page with a form. Peak never opens such pages itself, because something else could happen there. Peak still hides the emails. Use “Open unsubscribe page” to unsubscribe yourself if you trust the sender.

  • What do “Needs you”, “Waiting”, Internal and External mean?Answer

What do “Needs you”, “Waiting”, Internal and External mean?

“Needs you” means the other side wrote last. “Waiting” means you wrote last, within the last 30 days. Internal covers Slack and Teams chats as well as emails from addresses on your own company domain; everything else is external. Every active filter appears as a chip above the list and can be removed individually. J and K jump to the next conversation, E archives.

  • What ends up under “Automated”?Answer

    What ends up under “Automated”?

Newsletters and notifications, recognized by the unsubscribe link in the email header or by bulk sending. Recognized invoices carry the “Invoice” tag, stay under “Automated” and are never unsubscribed. Automated senders don't get replies from Peak Chat.

Errors & problems

  • Why wasn't my message sent in Peak Chat?Error message

Why wasn't my message sent in Peak Chat?

Your text is still in the input field; nothing is lost. Common reasons: the account for this conversation is no longer connected, the message is longer than 8,000 characters, or the sender is automated (newsletter, notification) and can't receive a reply from Peak Chat. You reconnect a disconnected account under Settings → Integrations.

  • A channel shows “Disrupted”. What should I do?Troubleshooting

A channel shows “Disrupted”. What should I do?

Peak couldn't reach this account during the last sync, usually because the sign-in has expired. Peak tries again the next time you open it. If the error persists, reconnect the account.

    1. Open Peak Chat → “Channels” and see which channel shows “Disrupted”.
    2. Click “Reconnect” at the bottom of the chat list, or “Manage →” on the channel.
    3. Reconnect the account under Settings → Integrations.
    4. Open Peak Chat again. The sync starts automatically.

Peak Chat couldn't build the page just now. Your messages and connections are safe; nothing has been lost. Click “Try again”.

Why does Peak Chat say “No mailbox or chat connected yet.”?

Peak Chat doesn't have an account it can read from yet. Connect Gmail, Outlook, Slack or Teams under Settings → Integrations. After that, the first sync starts automatically when you open it.

  • Why don't I see my WhatsApp messages in Peak Chat? Not available yet

Why don't I see my WhatsApp messages in Peak Chat?

WhatsApp Business and LINE only deliver messages at the moment they arrive (via webhook), not as a history that can be fetched. Peak is building the receiver for that next. Until then, Peak Chat shows Gmail, Outlook, Slack and Teams.
